Supreme Spring/Summer 2011. Here’s a few pieces from Supreme’s new season. I’m not crazy about the trench, but i think it’s interesting that they’re offering one. Jack Spade and J.Crew seemed to be able to team up with the one and only trench company - Mackintosh. Even A.P.C. has tried to make one as close as possible to the Mackintosh. But Supreme keeps theirs a bit more rumpled. The Jamaica tanks are an instant classic. Those are gonna go perfect with Budweisers, and Webers this summer. The palm frawn camp hat is pretty awesome as well. It’s gonna be hard to choose one. And I know what my dog is going to be eating out of from now on.

Bottega Veneta’s got a new shoe out. The Nero Brunissable creeper. These come from a company that has been known for leather lattice work bags for a long time. Since Thomas Maier came into power (10 yrs now) as the head creative, he has turned the company into one that understands the need for simplicity and cleanliness amongst all the bling and clutter.

Holy Crap. Decware’s Zen Triode Amplifier claims to be the best hi-fi amplifier for the dollar. For 15 years now. It has developed a serious cult following among serious audiophiles and has converted others. There is so much geek-speek on their website, i can’t even get started. But basically it is all hand made and puts out 2 watts per channel has zero negative feedback and a lifetime warranty. Because it is that well made. And how awesome does it look? It’s a piece of art. Naomi Strauss is a prop stylist that has worked on some of my wife’s jobs in the past. Recently an awesome new bag came into my wife’s possession and it happens to be one of Naomi’s. As well as prop styling, Naomi makes these awesome bags. Her company is called Directional Motivation. She uses reclaimed canvas from such items as British army laundry bags and Italian army rucksacks. Then she sews on some super soft leather. The bags are super durable and carry tales of their past lives in the marks in the fabric. She makes them by hand here in Los Angeles. Get one before they’re at Barneys or some place.

A.P.C. is opening a new store in the west village called A.P.C. Special Projects. It will focus on their denim line, a new denim line called Butler Jeans (you bring in your old apc’s and they fix them, sew your initials in them, and re-sell them to someone looking for the broken-in look. in exchange for your used jeans, you can buy a new pair at cost - whatever that is.) In addition to these, the store will sell A.P.C. Vintage, which is selling old pieces from past collections that might be relevant today. And last but not least, the store will offer up special projects, such as the quilts that are available right now. These quilts are made from pieces of A.P.C. fabrics from past collections. Touitou got the idea from his mother being a quilter. The shop will be at Bleeker and Perry in New York.

The search for the right deodorant is over. Malin & Goetz Eucalyptus Deodorant. It was recently awarded “Best New Grooming Product” by Wallpaper Magazine. If that means anything. The packaging is awesome, so it looks good in the cabinet. And the smell is perfect. The price is a bit steep at $18 and it doesn’t last long, but it’s worth every penny.

Paul Smith socks are one of my obsessions. every time i get a chance (see them in a store or happen by a paul smith) i pick up a couple pairs. i basically wear them non-stop until they bust through the toes and heels. And then i still keep them as back up. recently i had to weed out my sock drawer because it was getting a little silly. And it hurt to see some of the best patterns go. As far as i have found, nobody comes up with better color combinations and stripes. But J.Crew is starting to catch on.

The Clark’s Original Desert Boot. This is the one shoe that i cannot go without. It compliments almost every outfit and satisfies every occasion. The Beatles wore them, Bob Dylan wore them, all the skaheads wore them. Copies have been produced by J.Crew, Cole Haan, Pierre Hardy, John Varvatos, Jil Sander and Tom Ford, to name a few. Clarks run you $100 and are the originals. I just wore holes in the bottoms of mine. First the laces broke and I stopped wearing them. then J.Crew started selling laces that were perfect. Now i just need a new pair.

I'm in a pickle. I need a good leather bag. But the only thing I can find is a bunch of garbage for under 500 dollars. Help me, Pfleeger. I'm worried I'll end up paying too little and then be mistaken for common trash.

Postalco Handkerchief envelopes. These envelopes are for those of us that still communicate via longhand. Those of us that have a favorite pen or actually enjoy a freshly sharpened pencil. Personally, I take the pencils from the Ace Hotels and Rudy’s Barbershops that i visit. they are black and look cool on your desk. mission accomplished, Ace Hotel! I also have a fairly extensive collection of hotel stationary. I’ve been collecting for quite a while now. You can find these cool little envelopes over at Opening Ceremony and South Willard.

KAWS has always been one of my favorite artists ever since he tagged Kate Moss with his bendy skull character in a Calvin Klein bus shelter. Not so much a fan of the Simpsons stuff, but this here light bulb is pretty awesome. Plus, it’s the first piece of KAWS that i really like, that i could afford. Ursa Major (The Great Bear) is a new men’s skincare line based out of Vermont. The couple lived and worked (Bumble & Bumble, Sharp’s) in NYC for 10 years and then decided to pack up and move closer to nature. They have a great philosophy and I am a bit jealous. Their branding is great and from what i have read the products are awesome. Everything is all natural. That was their main goal. Check them out!

This tote comes from the folks at Apolis Activism and French Trotters. Apolis is a creative duo from Santa Barbara, California that originally started by making incredibly soft t-shirts and grew their brand from there. They have collaborated with brands such as Filson, Katin, and Patagonia. These guys are awesome.

French Trotters is a French couple that traveled around the most exciting cities together (globe trotting) and decided to open a shop that carried all of their favorite finds. They have now opened a separate kid’s store and men’s store. and have quite a following. Brands include APC, Quoddy, Mark McNairy, Oliver Spencer, to name just a few.

Jack Spade has teamed up with my favorite rainwear company, Mackintosh. They recently re-designed their website, so you can no longer browse the current season of coats available. but you can learn about their history and amazing craftsmanship. Mackintosh is known for their patented rubberized cotton. This one from Jack Spade uses that material and throws a hood into the design. the coat comes in olive and looks damn sharp. at the reasonable price $995. Handmade, of course.

Grooming product company, Baxter of California, has released this phenomenal straight razor. Before you get too excited, it sells for $240. The whole thing is handcrafted in northern michigan and the navy leather case is from Makr. The blade has the inscription, “Not a Replica” and was apparently inspired loosely by firearms? It is a nice looking piece for sure, but i will be spending that $240 elsewhere.
